Southeast Regional Academy, The 404.
Rugby ATL, of Major League Rugby, has committed to using the sport of rugby as its platform for creating positive change in the Southeast region of the United States. At the very core of the franchise’s foundation is the responsibility of developing people and assisting everyone to achieve their highest personal, professional and athletic goals. The franchise is pleased to announce the formation of its regional Academy team, The 404, whose sole purpose is to develop the people and the game of rugby here in the south.
The 404 regional team will place heavy emphasis on drawing player, coach and staff representation from the six deep southern states of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, the Carolinas and Tennessee.
Commitment to generating coaching, player and high performance education will be present in play, practice and community engagement. The mission is to produce future players and staff that can represent the greater Southeast region and the United States of America on the highest international stages.
Academy Director, Cam Wyper M.S., will capitalize on his professional, international and collegiate coaching experience to enhance the principles and core skills of the game of rugby.
The design of Rugby ATL’s Academy, The 404, is guided by core values that endeavor to influence and launch crucial aspects of people development such as accountability, change creation and execution. This well rounded personal approach will provide systematic and progressive educational initiatives that will ensure that everyone is given an opportunity for consistent and long-term development.
